Experience & Background
Kate Vonderhaar Johnson leads Advisory Board’s best practice research memberships for HR executives in the United States (the HR Advancement Center) and workforce leaders around the world (the Workforce Best Practice Collaborative).
As a researcher with the firm since 2010, Kate has led studies on topics including millennial staff retention, the performance evaluation process, HR organizational structure, and succession planning. She also oversees the Center’s regular benchmarking surveys on staff turnover and other critical workforce metrics.
Kate graduated with honors from Dartmouth College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in government.
