One of the nation's largest employers has contracted with four hospitals in different parts of the country to provide hip and knee replacement surgeries to employees through a bundled-payment agreement.
A Modern Healthcare analysis of 59 not-for-profit health systems found that overall revenue increased an average of 6.7% in fiscal year 2014, but the gains were largely cancelled out by a 6.2% increase operating costs.
