Experience & Background
Michael is the Director of Life Sciences Research at Advisory Board. He has a background in health psychology and 15 years of experience in the fields of behavioral science and clinical research. He guides research development in the area of life sciences and works closely with Advisory Board’s members in the pharmaceutical, medical technology, and healthcare ecosystem arenas.
Michael’s experience includes administration of research programs, clinical trial management, integration of outcomes programs into clinical care, and design and implementation of research protocols. He has served as a research consultant for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and as a member of the development team for the National Cancer Institute’s Patient-Reported Outcomes version of the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (PRO-CTCAE).
His research has involved assessment and monitoring of patient-reported outcomes (PROs), cancer prevention and control, medical decision making, technology-based interventions, and investigation of psychosocial & sociocultural factors associated with treatment health outcomes.
