Quality and promoting interoperability

Last month, CMS released the Inpatient Prospective Payment System Proposed Rule for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023. The rule builds upon some of the Biden administration’s stated priorities and provides insight into how those strategic priorities will be put into place. The two primary areas of focus for quality and promoting interoperability are maternal health and health equity, although the proposed rule also introduces a few other expansions of existing guidance.
